 Post - Doctoral Position in Finance

The National Centre of Competence in Research (NCCR) “Financial Valuation and Risk Management” (FINRISK) is a Swiss Research Program in Financial Economics funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation. The program is currently in its 9th year of existence and is organized into 12 distinct research projects. One of them focuses on “credit risk and non - standard sources of risk”. This project is led by Prof. Rajna Gibson Brandon from the University of Geneva and its research team is located at the Geneva Finance Research Institute (GFRI) from the University of Geneva. We are currently looking for a

Post-doctoral researcher in Finance (100 % position)

who would be interested to join this research project and to work and benefit from the network structure of FINRISK. The position should ideally start in December 2010 and is valid for one year. The position can be extended for another year providing the candidate’s performance is positively evaluated by the FINRISK international scientific council. Remuneration will be paid according to the salary scale of the University of Geneva.

The candidate should hold a PhD in finance, mathematics or economics and should ideally have demonstrated his/her ability to conduct theoretical or empirical research in the areas of “credit risk and non - standard sources of risk”.
